I actually googled this before my post and it basically comes down to preference, however ladybird is usually English and ladybug is American. What ever you like to call it I adore Tilda as Ladybird.I have combined two challenges the first I am entering is TOMIC, 3,2, 1 which was to use 3 DPs, 2 (or more) embellishments and 1 main stamped image. The next challenge is over at MDUC which was to follow a sketch. I really enjoy working with sketches as the cards always turn out well. I suppose its like following a recipe and I always have great suceess following recipes, its when I try my own things that it ends up a disaster. I am also entering the challenge over at PCJ which is to 'Make it Cute'. Anyway here she is
sorry but I am having trouble with my camera focussing. I coloured Tilda with my copic markers and mounted her on some black cardstock. The flower paper and the red paper are both from Kaiser and were in my stash. The black circle at the back is flocked paper and I got it in a pack that I purchsed from Oh my crafts. The ribbon with the ladybirds and flowers is from my stash. The flowers are from Hooked on craft and I picked up the wooden ladybird from the $2 shop. I then added black photo corners and some black rhinestones. Here are some close ups
I also added red stickles to Tildas hearts and glossy accents to her spotted jacket. I love how the glossy accents has made them 'pop'.
I was also happy to hear the fantastic news that a lady whose blog I follow has been asked to become a member of the Magnolia design team. Congratulations Pearl what amazing news. Her blog is fantastic as is her talent. If you haven't seen it already go check out Magnolia Experiment.
Until next time, happy crafting!
