Birthday Tilda

Well good morning it is so cold and windy here. I mean't to do this post last night but like every holiday I have to squeeze every single item of craft into my two weeks off. Last night I had to finish knitting my sons new beanie. He has officially jumped off the Geelong bandwagon and now follows the Bombers and after our first loss this season to them it made even harder LOL. Anyway here is a card that I have made for one of the many birthdays that are celebrated in July. I am entering this card in two challenges the first is TOMIC an easel card and at Simply Magnolia anything goes. I made this card for my friends birthday and I must admit I nearlly gave up but I am so glad I kept going. Here is Birthday Tilda on a cake easel card.
This is the card closed and here is the inside.

I am so pleased with the results it took a while to find candles that fit the holes so when I did find them I bought up. Here is the card with the candles.
Finally here is a close up of Tilda I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours.

Dress- R83 and R85
Shoes- E15 and E33
Cake- V12, V15, E31 and E33
Hair- E25, E27 and E 37
Skin- E00, E50 and E 20

The paper was pink cardstock and the cupcake paper is from Kaiser craft. I have also been scrapbooking and will post some images later. I also want to share my Dresden plate quilt that I have finally finished and I am going to have it professionally quilted as it is too big for me to do on my machine. Not bad and its only the second day of the holidays!

Tilda with ladybug

Well I have certainly been MIA I haven't made a post in a very loooong time. I was meaning to get in the craft room but life seemed to get in the way. Anyway I am pretty excited with this card. I used Copics to colour but I took my book code to work to try and get this blog post done at lunch but I left it there, anyway here is the card

Here is a close up. I have coloured the flowers so that the colours are exactly the same as the ones on the fence
Can you see the ladybug

I am entering this card into the following challenges MDUC a sketch

Mad for Markers Challenge

Well I was very excited to met Sammi and the team at the Melbourne Paperfic show. I even purchased one of her cards to help me with my inspiration. I had a fantastic time there with my friend Alethea and we made many make and takes. I love going to these shows as it really gets me excited about cards and scrapbooking. I am entering the following card in the Mad for Markers challenge this month which was to use YR, RV and BG Copic markers. Well I decided to use all three with one of my brand new Tildas and I am so excited with how this card has turned out.
and here is a close up

I have used the following Copic markers

Dress-BG 11 & 13
Wings- RV 11, 13 & 14
Hair- YR 21, 23 & 24
Skin- E000 & 20, R20
Butterfly- RV 11 & 13, YR24

The sentiment is from SU and I love how well the Kaiser Papers go with my colouring. They are 'Fruity Galaxy' (Butterfly Paper) from the Bubblegum Hills Collection, 'Sugar Syrup' from the Pina Colada Collection and 'Wing It' from the Hey Birdie Collection.

Copic Oz, 'A Little Magic'

Well this card had literally taken me all month. I coloured this image in on the 6th March and it has taken me until today to finish it. I saw the challenge at Copic Oz , 'A Little Magic', and the entries were amazing, but I am so proud of my colouring on this image. The sea blended beautifully together and I love how his telescope and bandanna have a shine to them. I used a Kaszazz DP I think it was part of their Bon Voyage Range and the background stamp is from Tim Holtz. I tried to mount my image on sooo many different colours but nothing seemed to go with it. I then settled on the black photo corners and I am thrilled with the result. Anyway here he is all coloured with Copics!

MDUC

This week at the Magnolia Down Under Challenge we needed to produce a card that wasn't a square or a rectangle. So as I lay in bed I had a mad idea what about a 3D card! Well it was more stressful than expected but here is the end result.

Sorry about the flash on the camera, its a 3D treasure box with Tilda stuck on the side with a tab which tucks behind her boot. Here are a few close ups and the Copic colours I used. I have been on You Tube and I am trying to develop the flicking technique and I have been really pleased with the results. I do find this technique difficult in smaller areas and any tips would be appreciated.

As you can see I also need tips on photography at night as no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get them to look just right.

Brown Card for a Male

Well it took me a long time to think this one through. I bought this image at Lincraft because I didn't have any images for the older males in my life. This is the first time I have inked him up and I had the idea in my head of what I wanted it to look like but found I didn't have the exact browns that matched in my collection. Well this is my excuse so I can buy more Copics LOL. My husband came into my craft room the other night and commented that my bag was now full. I told him that I had actually saved him money because I had bought them when the dollar was high. Anyway I am entering this card in the Mad for Markers Brown Male Card challenge.

Here are the Copic colours I used
and a final close up.
