A Criss-Cross Card

I had fantastic intentions of getting this card finished for a challenge I saw a couple of weeks ago during the school holidays. Well of course I missed the deadline, the only thing that I had done during this time was colour the image. So while my husband has been working late this week I have taken the opportunity to finish the card while the kids have been in bed. I am thrilled with how it has turned out and because I didn't have a deadline I found that I enjoyed the process more and found that I could actually add the extra details. Normally I just try to get it done in time and it's the little things I think that make this card so special. Well here she is and the best news is that there are now some challenges whose requirements I meet so I can enter them too. Well here she is the outside and the insert.
Now for a close up, sorry about the quality of the first photo it wasn't the best light in my craft room. These are much better.

Well I don't even know where to start there are so many elements. All the DP's are from Magnolia and the pink and white cardstock was in my stash. I have coloured Tilda in with my Copics and she is from the Prince and Princess Collection. The background behind Tilda has been made using the Shooting Star Magnolia stamp and a pink Tombow Pen on the cardstock. The stars have then been filled with Pink Stickles. I cut out the white and pink cardstock using the Top Note die from Stampin' Up. I also used their eyelet punch for the edging and the sentiment and the punch are also Stampin' Up. I made the bow myself, I can never get them to sit right so I actually made it with the hot glue gun and cut and stuck until it was just how I wanted. I then inserted the pin and added the button to finish it off. But the part I am most proud of is the flowers. These flowers are a mixture of Kaiser Craft Blooms and flowers from Hooked On Craft. I have tried flowers so many times and they just don't look right but last night when I was constructing my card they just seemed to work. Anyway I am entering this card in the following challenges.
