Great Global Christmas Swap

Well I have finally finished my swap for The Great Global Christmas Swap and I am so pleased with the results. I got the fabric in September from Spotlight and the bag developed from there. I love the red embroidery on the calico and I just adore the owl fabric. Well here it is
And now for a close up
I also included a few gifts that I didnt make but thought would be lovely, an owl pin cushion, a felt decoration and a pin keeper
I hope that my swap partner loves her gift.

Tilda Book

I have wanted to make a book  for such a long time however my first attempt failed. My wonderful friend Alethea made one and sent me a link to a fabulous tutorial that you can find here. Well here she is
I have used DP's from Kaiser this collection was from a few years ago, sorry I can't remember the name. Tilda is from the new collection and she is so cute to colour. Of course I used my copics and have included a photo of the colours. I then added rock candy to Tildas fir trim and stickles to the Christmas trees. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps I adore these and use my Tombow textas to colour these up. The scallop border is a fiskars punch.

Here's a close up of Tilda and below are the Copics I used.
and now here is inside the book that I plan on filling with chocolates for my boys teachers however I can't fill them yet because they wouldn't last 'til Christmas, especially in my craft room, so no photos with chocolates, lol
and the spine

I would like to enter this into the following challenges, Maggie Lovers Challenge and Magnolia Stamp lovers

Discover Tilda!!!

I think I am going for a record, my third post in a week, I have also made another card for a friend and I am in the middle of making a card box. Thank you to Alethea for the awesome tutorial link. I tried another one and it was a disaster. Although its not perfect its good for a test run. Anyway back to discovery Tilda. I coloured this Tilda to go with the beautiful Graphic 45 paper I bought last week. I have always loved the monochromatic/sepia look so decided to give it a go. Then Make It Colourful bought out their texture challenge and I think my ground fits that criteria.  I was thinking about this card for ages (well a day) and decided to hide a bookmark on the inside and I think that this fits the MDUC shhh it's a secret. I also coloured Tilda the same colouring so that it looks like she has been looking for a bug, then on the bookmark she has her pet ladybird.
The DP is from Graphic 45, the browncard stock is from my stash. The tickets are from Kaiser, "Up, Up and Away". The flowers are from my stash and I curled some wire for detail. The leaves are actually the wings of a different coloured butterfly. Once again I didnt write down the Copics sorry but they are all from the E family. I added Glossy accents to Tildas magnifying glass and stickles.

Here's the inside
and now for a close up of either side

Until next time

Tilda with Holly

I love Christmas and my crafting friends would agree. I actually have so many different Christmas stamps that if I used one stamp every christmas I may need to live to 150!!! Anyway I love the idea of making different styles of cards to suit the varying tastes of all my family and friends. I adore this new stamp, Tilda with Holly I also love how the new collection is so versatile. Many of the stamps could also be used for different occasions. Anyway I have also been scared of coloring in with my red Copic markers, well I took the plunge and used all of Zoes ( from Make It Crafty) techniques and I am loving the results. I am entering the following card in the Just Magnolia challenge which is Merry Christmas.
Here is a close up of her
I am also loving the new bling from Kaiser called Sparklets and sorry I didn't write down the Copics. But I did manage to decorate the inside of tha card, here it is.
The DP paper is from Kaiser and I have used both sides on the card and the rub ons are also from Kaiser.
Until next time
happy crafting!!!

The Mad for Markers Challenge which was a sketch to follow and the very first challenge created by Bron at ShopBron Maggie Lovers Challenge which was to use brown and red/and or pink. Well here is my entry and I am so pleased with the result.
I have used Red cardstock and all the DPs are from the Kaiser collection  'Tis The Season. The DP behind Tilda is called 'Stocking' and the background DP is actually flocked and is just beautiful. On the snowflakes are a new product from Kaiser called Sparklets and boy am I loving them. Here is a close up, the background of the heart snowball is actually pink and then covered in Rock Candy.
Sorry I didn't write down the Copics that I used. The 'tis the season stamp is from Whimsy and are fantastic and super easy to use.

Welcome and yes I am still here

Welcome to all my new followers its great to have you aboard. Only 2 days left until I draw my candy, how exciting. Well I have been busy crafting but it hasn't been making cards. I have been busy basting a quilt to be stitched and I am trying to finish "A Boys Story" that I started a looooong time ago. I was managing a block a month then they had a hold up on fabric and I lost my mojo. Oh well I do have two cards that I would love to share. The first card is one that a lady at work asked me to make and here she is.
and here is a close up

I was also very excited yesterday to have my custom rubber stamp arrive from Whimsy Stamps. I love ordering from these guys, always excellent service, well here is my stamp.
I have also made a card for the Magnolia-Licious Challenge Blog. We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia but I have loved this Tilda image for such a long time and managed to pick her up when someone was selling off their unused Tildas. I also love the colours that I have used, purple, orange, green and black. They look AMAZING together, well I think so take a look what do you think?
Here are the Copics I used
Here is a close up of Tilda. I cut out the cobwebs from the DP and stuck them around Tilda. I then covered the card in Smooch and Glossy accents. The green paper was punched with SU scallop punch and the ribbon was perfect with the cobwebs. I also wanted to share a photo of my boys from the Kaiser Craft kids carnival day last weekend. I am lucky enough to live near a Kaiser Craft outlet and the carnival day last week was lots of fun. I got to shop and never got harassed once about when we were going to leave which usually happens with the two boys and this is why, yes the boys got to play with the reptiles!!! Snakes, crocodiles, lizards, frogs a dream day out for all!!!

Butterflies Flutterby

I have been so busy at work that I haven't posted for quite a while. I hope the wait has been worth it with the following card I made for a lovely lady that I work with, Heidi.
I have used Tilda with Hawaiian flower and have mounted her on the stone path. I only have the colours for Tilda which were
Skin- E000, E00, R20
Hair- E41, 43, 44
Dress- YR00, 04, 07
Sleeves- YR21, 23, 24
Flower- Y00, 08, 17
Socks- W1
I love the butterfly paper which is from BoBunny and is called 'Gabrielle'. I actually have cut a circle in the DP paper and then used accetate to attach the path and Tilda to. I then used Magic Mount to create a foregroung and background. This seemed to work so well. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and I love the beautiful metal butterfly I picked up from my local scrapbooking supply store. I am entering this card into the following challenges.

Luka with Truck

I'm not sure how this happened but I actually colured this Luka in when I visited the Copic stand at The Melbourne Paperific Show with my friend Alethea. However I went to put this card together and I realised that its coloured the same as the one on the La- La Land packet. I am asuming that because Copics are also the main distributor that they provided the colours to match the image on the packet so I am not taking the credit for colour selection but I did do the colouring. I made this card to celebrate my son James' sixth birthday. He has a red fire truck that he loves and this Luka reminds me of him. I am not sure who the DP is but it works so well with this image, I also love the little truck brad. I have also shown you the inside of my card, can you see the super cute bolt stickers? I hope James loves this card as much as I do. I am also entering it in the La- La Land Birthday card celebration competition.
I have used the following colours to colour Luka
Pants- B24, B32
Jacket- YG91, YG95
Shoes- B95, B97
Shirt- YR21, YR23
Truck- R35, R37, W3, W5
Hair- E31, E33, E35
Skin- E00, E50

Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay

I love this song by Otis Redding and when I saw that this was the challenge over at MDUC I was very excited. I saw Kaiser had realesed a new range last week called "Hunt and Gather' one of the papers is covered in fish and I knew I had to track it down to go with Fishing Edwin. I started colouring him last night and when I saw this challenge this morning, well it all fell into place. So here is Edwin sitting on the dock of the bay!I am also entering this card in the Just Magnolia challenge which is Holiday Fun. Fishing is my eldest sons favourite thing to do when we are camping so I am actually going to give this card to him.
I have used the following Copics to colour Edwin
Pants- B95, B97
Button- E43
Skin- E000, E00, R20
T-shirt- C1, C3
Rod- E25
Float- R27, R37
Water- B000, clear Spica
Poles- E31, E33
I used the new Kaiser paper Fossick and the DP behind Edwin is also from the Kaiser 'Bird Society'  Paper pad. The tickets are also from Kaiser. I asked my husband for a fishing hook and he had silver, but Tom had red in his fishing box, perfect. I was also really pleased with the pier that I drew myself for Edwin to sit on. I also loved the way my water turned out it looks like ripples!! I also added clear Spicas which is really hard to see on the photo but it looks amazing in real life. So I am also entering this card in the Mad For Marker Challenge which is to use Spica.

Magnolia-licious Challenge #9

I am on a roll!! Yesterday I made three yes three cards. It helps that when I get together with my craft friends I just colour that way I have lots of images I just have to think of the construction. I would also like to welcome my two new followers Veronica, whom I met when doing a Copic class and Perla whose blog I was lucky enough to discover, she is creating some fantastic Magnolia cards too.
I coloured in this Tilda while I stayed at my dear friend Alethea's house. I knew exactly what colours I wanted to try and then here comes the challenge from Magnolia-licious a photo chosen by Linda

so here is my take on this inspiration.
I have coloured Tilda with the following Copic markers
Pants- B95, B97, B99
Shirt- C1, R37, R39
Hat- R35, R37 , R39
Hair- E25, E27, E57
Skin- E00, E50, R20
Rope- E31, E43
Wood-E35, E57
Shoes- W3, W5

I used white and red cardstock and the navy paper is from Kaiser. I cut the lifebuoy out using my Cricut and then embellished with white stars that I covered with glossy accents and silver cord to look like rope. The bunting was made from a DP (sorry in the stash) and I drew the dots on the outside to create another border.
I am also entering this card over at Bizzy Bec's as she is having a borders-frames challenge for this month
Here is a close up of Tilda

Make A Scene at TOMIC

That is the challenge over at TOMIC and I have put Tilda with watering can together with the tulip wheelbarrow and the gate posts. This is my first side step card and I was really pleased with the effect. I coloured Tilda with my Copics and tried really hard to develop pleats in her dress. Well here she is in her garden

I have continued the same colour scheme for the whole card and used the following Copics
Dress- YG41, G00, BG11
Under petticoat, Flowers in hair- V12, V15
Watering Can- W3, W5
Skin- E000, E50, R20
Hair- E41, E43
Socks- C1
Shoes- V000
Tulips- V000, V12, V15
Wood on wheel barrow and fence - E35, E57

I used some Kaiser paper sorry I don't know the name it was from my scrap stash for the background. I then used the same paper to cut out grass using my Cricut (Plantin SchoolBook). The stamp is from Whimsy Stamps and I cut the scallop background with my Cricut using the Mothers Day Bouquet Cartridge. The stamp was coloured uisng a Tombow marker (no. 636 Imperial Purple). Here are some more close ups of the card.

Some more yummy blog candy

Hi guys I have some awesome blog candy to share. Carlyann over at Sweet 'n' Crafty has put together three of my all time favourites DP, stickles and Magnolia stamps to celebrate her birthday on the 24th of July. Head over and check out her amazing Blog full of inspiration and her awesome Candy!!!

Holiday craft

I do it every holidays I need to squeeze in every single bit of craft that I can. I leave my work space set up and if I get a spare 5 minutes I go in and stick, paste or re-arrange. I then sit up later than normal and try and get more stuff done. I don't like to craft when the boys are here so we can spend time together. They are at my mum and dad's at the moment hence a day time post. So firstly I will share my scrapbooking, then my two finished quilt tops and finally two piles of material I have purchased for future projects that I will show you as I progress. I hope it won't take as long as my Christams pudding quilt, more of that later.
So here are my scrapbooking pages. It's funny I think they are finished then I will think of something else I need to add and out it comes again. I think I am happy with these pages now.

The next two images are of quilt tops that I have finally finished. The first is a dresden plate I finally put the prarie point border on and now I am going to have it professionally quilted as it is too big for me on my sewing machine. I am so happy with it, can't wait to get it quilted.

Here is a close up of one of the blocks.

The next is kit I bought before my first son was born (he was 8 last week) I didn't start it until last year because I wanted to finish other projects I had started. It is a Christmas wall hanging of different plum puddings and I finally finished the blanket stitch last night now all I have to do is quilt it and yes it is finished before Christmas.

Here is a close up of one of the blocks.

Sorry it's such a long post and finally here are the two piles of fabrics for my future pojects.
